Siún Ní Dhuinn - Editor

Tá Siún Ní Dhuinn ag cur fuithi i mBaile Átha Cliath agus go mór faoi thionchar ag Dolly Parton.

Siún Ní Dhuinn lives in Dublin and idolises Dolly Parton!

Bhunaigh mé As an Nua spás a chruthú don spéis a bhí agam sa scríbhneoireacht chomhaimseartha, le haird a tharraingt ar mhná spéisiúla agus deiseanna nua a aimsiú don Ghaeilge.

I founded As an Nua to create a space for my interest in contemporary writing, to draw attention to interesting women and to diversify the Irish language and its presence online.

Sinéad Ní Uallacháin - Illustrator

Sinéad has a keen interest in art and architecture; the latter she studied in Dublin’s Institute of Technology, Bolton St., before abandoning ship for a career in radio.

She has illustrated the children’s book, An Tíogar agus a Mhadra, by Mícheál Ó hUanacháin, (Coiscéim, 2014); and has contributed illustrations to the following publications: Fighting Words: stories inspired by visits to the National Gallery of Ireland, (Fighting Words, 2014); Sin Scéal Eile: Gearrscéalta Nuascríofa, (An Gúm, 2010); NÓS, (Irish language publication, for which she regularly writes) and also for, ‘The Children of the Finca Florencia’, published by Hope Guatemala, an Irish Charity. These illustrations were based on popular folklore tales from the country.

Tá suim mhór ag Sinéad san ealaíon. Chaith sí tréimhse i mbun staidéir ar an ailtireacht in Institiúid Teicneolaíochta Bhaile Átha Cliath, sula dtug sí faoi ghairm sa raidió.

Chruthaigh sí na pictiúir do An Tíogar agus a Mhadra, le Mícheál Ó hUanacháin, leabhar do leanaí a d’fhoilsigh Coiscéim i 2014. Tá pictiúir tarraingte aici chomh maith do na foilseacháin seo a leanas: Fighting Words: stories inspired by visits to the National Gallery of Ireland, (Fighting Words, 2014); Sin Scéal Eile: Gearrscéalta Nuascríofa, (An Gúm, 2010); NÓS, (iris ar líne, go mbionn sí ag scríobh dóibh go rialta) agus, ‘The Children of the Finca Florencia’, a d’fhoilsigh Hope Guatemala, carthannacht Éireannach. Bhí na híomhanna seo bunaithe ar fhinscéalta comónta ó Ghuatamala.
